U of A versus U of C for jobs in Vancouver/the lower mainland

Hi all,

Looking for some opinions: is there any major difference in attending U of A versus U Calgary if I'm going to head back to Vancouver/the lower mainland after graduation?

I've checked out the 2L recruit from recent years -- looks like the two were basically on par in 2021 (https://ultravires.ca/2021/05/vancouver-2021-2l-summer-recruitment-numbers/) and more U Calgary students placed in Vancouver in 2022 (http://ultravires.ca/2021/11/vancouver-2022-2l-summer-recruitment-numbers/). Should these numbers be something I consider when making my decision?

Further, I've been able to find much more information on Calgary's website re: recruitment (https://law.ucalgary.ca/lawcareers/career-resources/recruitment-across-canada#british-columbia) whereas on Alberta's I've found nothing. The lack of information is a bit concerning for me, though I've read Alberta is a much older school so I probably shouldn't be too worried.

I realize the best shot for BC jobs is to go to a regional school. Sadly, that isn't an option for me at this time (kicking myself for not applying places other than UBC where my chances are nil). Looking for any and all advice about Alberta grads making their way over to BC. Thanks in advance!
