Hi yall!!! I got accepted to both and I’m wondering how the two stack up against one another, in terms of recruitment and job market opportunities. Im primarily interested in criminal law, however Im open to wherever the wind takes me 🙂

UOttawa presents more opportunities if you want to work in different regions. I would only go to UNB if you want to work in New Brunswick. However, if criminal law is your goal then your priority is to come out of law school with the least amount of debt, and you want to get some clinical experience, and doing things like the Innocence Project if your school offers it. It is also ideal to network with the local criminal bar in the region you want to work in.

may I ask why?

Are you from Atlantic Canada and do you want to stay there after law school?

If not the choice is obvious.
