I saw people on TikTok (I know, best place to get information) talking about submitting a letter of continued interests to schools they have not heard from yet. Some said that it ended up helping them get accepted. I don't know if this is something they know for sure or if they just assumed that their letter helped them and the school was going to accept them anyway. 

Is this a tacky/entitled thing to do? Has anyone here ever sent a letter of continued interest before?

Check with each individual school. Many will often say explicitly not to send them anything. LOCI are common place in America though. Probably where the TikTokers are from.

I think that's just an American thing. If you haven't withdrawn your application, schools will assume you are still interested.
