How important are undergraduate transcripts for summer positions/articling?

I'm looking at some firms' requirements to apply for summer positions/articling and many of them ask for undergraduate transcripts. My undergrad wasn't stellar -- I only started doing "well" (aka mostly As/A+s) in my third and fourth year, and I've done well in all my upper-level undergrad courses and graduate courses since then. Will this hold me back in comparison to other applicants that have a better undergrad record? I'm feeling a bit defeated. I thought my first two years of undergrad would mean nothing now that I got into law school, turns out they're more important than I thought and I'm still going to be judged based on them. Any advice from those who have been on the hiring end, or any advice from those that have gone into applications with a less-than-stellar undergrad record? Thanks in advance for any input. I'll be studying at U of A and looking for positions in Alberta/BC if that matters.

No one will care about the grades you got in your first two years of undergrad

I had more than one F on my undergraduate transcript. I think it did come up once, but more in a bemused "what happened there" way. If you have the undergraduate grades to get into law school don't stress about them for recruit.
