Asking for Interviewers Names

Hello,

I have an interview with a workers compensation board next week. 

I have not received any information regarding my interviewers. 

I thought about reaching out via email to ask. However, I read somewhere that I should have asked during the interviewing scheduling call. 

(1) Should I reach out and ask?

(2) What even is the benefit of knowing? (I had some ideas as to why but I am curious what the community thinks.)

Yes, email and ask. Then look them up on Linkedin or wherever else to see who they are, where they went to school, what have they done, etc. It's not necessary but the background information will allow you to tailor your answers towards them.
