Hi, I just started articling last week and today I submitted my articles of clerkship o the LSO account. When I was on my account I realized that I never paid my LSO’s Articling Program fee which was due on June 15!. I messages the LSO asking whether I could just pay it now. I am feeling really scared and anxious about what they could say in the reply. I’m just scared that they won’t let me article at my current place or something. Any insight would be SO SO much appreciated

Try not to stress about it. It's already happened, and you've already reached out to the only people who can give you a definitive answer. I totally get the stress, but try not to think about it until they reply. Enjoy your weekend and they'll get back to you early next week.

For what it's worth, I suspect they'll let you just pay it, maybe with a late fee or interest.

Slightly off topic but - how do you submit the Articles of Clerkship form? Is it just as an attachment through the messages feature?

Take a closer look at your invoice. Mine says: “Candidates who are articling are to note the experiential training fee is due by the deadline indicated or no later than 10 business days after they commence articling."

If your Articles of Clerkship are filed later than 10 business days after your start date, the late filing fee is $100 plus tax (according to the FAQ section on the LSO website under the heading "What are the fees associated with the Articling Program?"). Other than that, you should be fine!
