Hi , feeling super discouraged as I grind my way through my personal statement and wondering if all my efforts are futile . My GPA was on 9 point scale so I converted it, my overall GPA was 8.0 and my major GPA was 8.33 . I'm still waiting for my lsat score but it feels like a rewrite. Using 158 as its in the middle of my highest and lowest PT score.

I wouldn't lose hope! You would have a shot at Osgoode as a general applicant with your stats already (assuming that your LSAT is indeed a 158). Also, while it's difficult to quantify how much being an indigenous applicant improves your chances, Canadian law schools are looking for indigenous students with competitive stats.

If you raised your LSAT score to a 160+ and submitted an application with a strong PS and references, I'd be shocked if you weren't accepted to one of UofT or Osgoode.

At some schools, being an indigenous applicant SIGNIFICANTLY increases your chances.

While I am not familiar with Osgoode, I will say that I was admitted to a school out west with worse stats than you.
