When Should I Ask For A Contract?

Hello,

I accepted an articling offer during the recruit. I have an email confirming I accepted the articling offer. But I still haven't received an employment contract. When should I reach out and ask for one? I don't want to be annoying.

I was in the exact same position and was anxiously waiting for a contract until basically late spring before starting articling. Honestly I would expect that's typical. You accepting the offer and getting a confirmation of that is enough for you to feel secure that the job is yours. Congrats and enjoy 3L!

I received a contract during my first week of articling. As long as you accepted an offer, you’re good.
