BC MAG - Legal Services Written Interview?

Hey there! Got invited to do a written interview assessment with the British Columbia Ministry of Attorney General for next summer. Just wondering if anyone has done this/gone through this process before as a 2L or for articling? I'm having trouble knowing where to begin, and can't find any info online. All I can find is that it's a timed assessment with either one question or a series to test writing skills and legal interpretation...but I still have no idea what to study or expect. I'd love any insight!

Did the test but did not make it to the next round. Essentially it is a law school test except they will give you the piece of legislation you need to apply. You can't prep for it in my opinion.

I agree with Ramesses' assessment. Obviously we can't be very specific about what it looked like. But think of it more like an exam then an interview. It will test skills that you should have from 1L. No real secret formula to uncover. We wouldn't be able to predict anything about the "content" even without having agreed not to, since that will change from cycle to cycle anyway..

For what it's worth, I did make it to the second round... where I crashed and burned spectacularly. 😉

Is it typically a time crunch like most law school exams? Or do you have time to review and perfect your writing?

Thanks so much for all the advice! It was pretty tricky, but yeah no real way to prepare.
