Another Question about taking the Jan LSAT

I know there's been lots of this but still trying to clarify 3 things:

1) If I indicate that I am going to take the Jan LSAT, but already have a score on file from prior tests taken, can I still be considered with previous scores, but deferred until January by those schools that deem my current score uncompetitive.

( Specifically;

Oct - Score available

Nov - Score unavailable

Jan - Score unavailable )

2) Can I indicate to only some schools that I am going to take the Jan LSAT and not others that I am applying to. I would like to take the LSAT again for Osgoode, but believe my current score is competitive for other schools I've applied and thus would like to be considered ASAP for those.

I suppose if the answer to 1 is yes, then that also answers 2.

3) In any case, is it appropriate to wait for my November score to then decide whether to inform schools of my intention to take the Jan LSAT, or is this something I should do ASAP (given that a good November score would put my issue to rest)

Just inform them all of your current scores and your intention to take it again through OLSAS. They all have different practices. From what I've gathered from similar threads, they will not reject you until seeing your future score. Schools accept applicants even when they haven't re-written, so long as they have a score on file that is competitive. If your LSAT score is competitive for other schools, it doesn't hurt for them to see it now. Osgoode will see it later anyway. They know applicants re-write with the expectation of improving. It's reasonable for you to wait until you get November scores, but likely won't make a difference.

It is my understanding that you cannot have some schools see your score and not others. That's assuming you've only applied in Ontario. Not sure about elsewhere.
