People who didn't secure a 2L summer legal job, how did it affect your articling recruit?

Many (I'd go as far as saying most) participants in the articling recruit didn't secure a 2L summer job through the recruit.

So while it'd obviously be to your advantage to have had that extra work experience I don't think you'll be tremendously disadvantaged on that ground alone.

I know someone who didn't work a legal job in 2L summer and vacationed instead (+ did some RA work). Still landed a job during the articling recruit.

1L means first year of law school. 2L is much the same. So don't worry about this stuff, it doesn't impact you.

Almost no impact. If you have a strong app emplopyers do not really care since most of them do not participate in the 2l recruit. Just have an answer for what you did during 2l summer.
