I’ve been accepted into multiple Ontario schools but haven’t 100% decided where I will be going in September. However, I would like to get a jump on the reading. Are there certain textbooks that Ontario schools commonly assign first-year students? If so, which books?

The general advice is not to read ahead. There’s a “Preparing for 1L” post pinned somewhere that was very helpful.

Adam Dodek's The Canadian Constitution is worth a read to familiarize yourself with the basics on Canadian history and government structure. Learning about the Supreme Court justices is not a bad idea either (not that it's necessary!). Don't even try to get ahead in learning the actual law, it won't help much and there's a risk of misinterpreting what you 'learn.'
