what should 2Ls know NOW for the articling recruit?

pretty much all in the title. i feel like i missed the boat on OCIs and only learned how the entire process works shortly before applications are due. what should i be doing now to try to maximize success in the articling recruit? networking, working on my applications?

Work on applications. Try to find some sort of legal job for the summer (that would be my main priority at this point).
