Ontario bar exams timeline

I am not from Ontario, but I am summering and will be articling at a big law firm in Ontario and I have some questions about the timeline of taking the exams. They say that we should complete the examinations before starting our articling term, meaning we need to write the summer exams. My last day of classes is the last day of April and convocation at my school usually occurs late May, early June, which can conflict with the exam dates from the dates I have seen this year. Is it possible to defer the exam due to convocation? Do people start studying for the bar exams while also studying for their 3L finals?

Some people start studying during finals, but from what I've seen, most people just wait until after finals are over and then study throughout May. 

If your school put convocation on the same day as one of the exams, I would strongly recommend taking the test instead of going to convocation. If you opted not to do one of the exams in May/June so that you could go to convocation, you'd have to write (and study for) that exam in November during articling - and if your firm has already flagged for you that they expect you to write the exams during the summer months, you should probably listen to that.
