Visiting a Canadian school from a US law school

This is a long shot, but I don't know where else to ask. Does anyone have any experience and/or would be willing to dish out advice regarding US law school students visiting Canadian schools for a semester of two? For context, UofC accepts Letter of Permission students from US schools (https://law.ucalgary.ca/future-students/admissions-jd-programs/upper-year-admissions), but from what I've heard, US schools only let you visit other ABA-approved schools. Do you know anyone who has successfully pulled this off?

I'm a Canadian at a top US school (I know... should have stayed in Canada) who needs to go back home for 3L because of family, if that matters.

You should ask your home institution if it's possible - they'll be the ones to approve the letter of permission. I suspect most administrations will tell you no.
