How does GPA calculation work for those who transferred during undergrad

I did my first 2 years of undergrad at the University of Alberta, getting a 3.5 something GPA. I then transferred to UBC and my advisor told me that my grades from UAlberta were no longer my academic results from this point on, employers would only see the percent grade I achieved at UBC. I went on to outperform by UAlberta GPA by a wide margin at UBC. I am currently finishing my degree (last 12 credits as not all of my UAlberta credits transferred to UBC), have taken the LSAT, and planning to apply to schools in the next month. Would law schools largely look at my performance at UBC? I know my time at UAlberta is not overlooked completely and I would assume they'd ask for the same transcript I submitted to transfer to UBC and why I transferred, but would they factor the courses taken at UAlberta into my official GPA?
