1L OCI recruit

Hey y’all, I was wondering how important it is to have at least a few A’s in your transcript from the first semester of 1L if you’re thinking of applying during the 1L recruit that takes place in January /February I believe. Are there people who’ve just gotten B’s and still got jobs during the recruit? I know it’s really hard to secure a position with a big law firm during 1L, especially because not all firms even offer 1L positions. 
 

but to remain competitive, is it crucial to have one or two A’s ? If you got a job during the 1L recruit, what do you think made you competitive in your application?

Grades are very important for the 1L recruit. I would think the threshold to be "competitive" is higher than one or two A's

Other things that help: business background (for corporate firms) and work experience
