Recommended Hardware/Tech for UCalgary Law

I'm starting 1L in the fall and my laptop recently died. I want to make sure that I replace it with something that will be able to smoothly run any necessary software during law school. 

Does anyone know if UCalgary has any publicly posted info about tech requirements/recommendations for law students? Or do any current students have insight on good computer options for use throughout the program?

I think the only "tech requirements" are being able to run the exam writing software on your laptop. Literally any new PC or Mac will be able to run the software just fine. As long as you aren't running a Linux OS you should be fine.

As far as deciding between Mac or PC: use whatever you're more comfortable with, both are good.
