randomly checked the portal and saw an acceptance, dated Jan. 19th; I'm very surprised bc it seems that my stats alone do not warrant such an early A -- so it's fair to say that uottawa is holistic

International student, olsas gpa 3.7, 159 (taking jan test too), 1yr work experience in China, US undergrad

Decent ECs (research & intern fellowship/awards, debate team, volunteer experience), strong LORs, PS is decent but not that outstanding (connects my humanities researches, ngo intern, and identities with an interest in law)

Accepted today, general

cgpa 3.5, B2 3.7, lsat 155

2 years law clerk experience

very strong LOR, weak EC’s

My third attempt at applying to law schools. Don't give up.

Ahhh congrats! My stats are so similar, also 155 and 3.86 GPA. I’ve also had 1.5 years of working in the legal field. Hope to see an A soon …

Accepted on January 8, general applicant

9.8/10 GPA, 158 LSAT one attempt (thought I’d shoot my shot instead of retaking right away), very strong softs and references, 3 years of legal work experience, master’s degree. I think strong PS.

I am unsure if I’ll accept here or McGill, but also waiting to hear from west coast schools (why are they so slow!).

Side note but it’s crazy how much more expensive it is applying to Ontario schools vs. other provinces, and the OLSAS system is horrible.

Checked the portal ~3 hours ago on a whim (still no email) and saw that I was accepted Feb. 7!

165 LSAT, 3.15 OLSAS CGPA, B2/L2 are probably in the 3.15-3.2x range (applied Access)

Solid softs and work experience, and my references were happy to write my LORs so I believe they were strong. I think my PS was quite good and likely really helped my application.

Super stoked and excited, first A of the cycle so hopefully this encourages others with similar stats!
