CGPA Calculation

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone knew if schools factor in courses you got "course relief" from in your CGPA - on my transcript it states that 4 of my grades are course relief but it shows the grades. Would these factor in when calculating my CGPA? So the grades are marked as such -->

C+ (CRL)

Or would the schools not count those grades?

Courses marked as "course relief" are not considered to count towards your undergraduate CGPA (for the school I was at - York University - as I switched my degree).

Can anyone speak on this? Thank you

It might be worth asking the individual school but in general all grades listed are counted in your cGPA, even if your institution has a different policy.

If the "course relief" was because you retook them for a higher grade, some schools (ie UBC) will average the two grades for that course, rather than count it twice.
