Congrats! Are you a general applicant?

Thank you! Yes, I don't think UofA has a 'discretionary' category. Only general and Indigenous.

UofA actually does. The candidates whose stats are not included in the admitted applicant profile are/were assessed holistically.

Holistically admitted applicants are different from general candidates in one main way: the use of their personal statement in their admission. While all statements are read, personal statements for holistically admitted candidates’ personal statement are a determining factor in their admission whereas general candidates are admitted on their stats alone.

UofA does not explicitly disclose to candidates which category they were admitted under when extending an offer (as of now) and I do not know if they would tell you if asked.

Yeah, that’s holistic rounds. It’s not a separate “general” and “discretionary” stream you specify when you apply. UofA doesn’t give that option. It’s either Indigenous or General, with a holistic approach later on in the cycle. That wasn’t what the person before had asked - it’s hard to gauge if you were a holistic admit or a general admit for this school.

Accepted with 157 LSAT and L2 around 3.9. I truly did not think this was even possible for me given my LSAT so I'm very grateful and will be accepting my offer.
