I apologize if this question seems somewhat off-topic. How good is dental/medical coverage at your school? Is it more or less the same at every other school?

Not great tbh. Most law students are covered under the undergraduate health plans which can vary a bit by school. Most schools in Ontario tend to cover drugs at 80% up to a certain amount, with 70%-80% dental up to a certain amount. You can see some of the plans here:

The options for vision care and other professionals are far more limited. You'll be hard pressed to see eye exams covered over $70 or glasses for more than $100-$150.

If you're curious about other law schools, you can Google "*X* Law School Health Plan" and there will usually be a link with information about the health plan and who administers it.

@omigone appreciate this - I wasn't too sure if the undergraduate plans were the same as the law school plans. Seems like it would be best to get any expensive procedures out of the way now while I'm on my work's group plan.

At least at Ottawa, we're just enrolled in the undergraduate health plan. I imagine it's the same for most/all law schools
