Queens vs. Western

The age old question... I got into both Queens and Western and I was just looking for some general insight and comparisons. I'm not 100% set on the area of law I hope to practice, as I'm trying to keep my options open, but generally I'm interested in IP, contract law with a focus in entertainment/media, and social justice. I did my undergrad in a smaller university city, which I enjoyed, but I'm looking for a place where there are also more things to do in the city (workout classes, outdoor space, restaurants, nice stores, etc.)

I know a lot of comparison questions have been asked in terms of landing a job in the recruit process which I have also been looking into, but on a more base-level, I'm curious about hearing experiences from both schools on a day to day basis and what the student life is like. Would love to hear about anyone's experiences!

As you alluded to there's no real difference in career outcomes. I would recommend going to London and going to Kingston, checking out both schools and getting a vibe for each city.

As far as day-to-day goes, I like it here. Kingston is small but that also means everyone lives within walking distance from each other. There's a good amount of restaurants and cafes etc. Overall, it is a nice place to be a student. I sometimes think about how it would be nice to have some of the amenities London has being a bigger city and being slightly closer to home. I would not change my decision, although I imagine I would likely have gotten the same job and enjoyed Western Law just as much so really you cannot go wrong here.

Hey thank you for the response! I’m going to the welcome day for both schools so I’ll be able to get a sense of the cities and campuses when I’m there for sure. I appreciate your insight, thanks again!
