Perhaps a bit early to post this, but I'm set on applying for a transfer to Osgoode for the 2024 cycle. I'm currently a 1L at Dalhousie but need to be back in Toronto for compassionate reasons. Just wondering for those of you who have successfully transferred in previous years, is there any tips you'd like to share on the application process? Thanks in advance!

I'm a 2L at Oz who transferred from UOttawa, though not for compassionate reasons.

The biggest thing I can think of is that I focused a lot more on tailoring my statements as to why I would be a good fit for the school as opposed to writing a generic application that only talks about me. I spent a good amount of time researching what the school offers and the values they uphold.

Best of luck!

Thank you! Do you have any information on how much the undergraduate GPA was weighted relative to you your 1L GPA, was it heavily considered?

I don't believe undergrad grades are considered, considering I had a sub 3.0 undergrad gpa. Law school grades are all that matters.
