Provincial Attestation Letters

I noticed one post discussing this and realized many details are in flux, such as whether JD is exempt from the new study permit cap. I received different answers from different sources. Did incoming international JD students planning to study in other provinces (such as Alberta or Quebec) receive the provincial attestation letters? Or did you receive confirmation that you are not part of the cap?

I don't think we're exempted in Ontario. No idea about other provinces.
