To anyone who has thought about transferring or successfully transferred, how did you make decision that the choice to transfer was right for you?

Over the past semester, I have thought quite a bit about transferring. I am fortunate to have made some friends at my law school, but I can't help but feel my current law school in ways misses the mark. I don't love the pace of town my school in, when I have spoken to upper years about the courses I want to take - many of them have said the quality of courses of the area I am interested in are terrible at my school, and honestly I can't help but feel I am spending a lot of money on a school that I don't love. Though I am not involved in the drama, a lot of the students in my cohort are extremely cliquey, like high school. In terms of my specific area of law I want to go into, I feel like my school is lacking the extra-curricular opportunities like relevant clinics.

I'm sure the grass is greener on the other side, but I can't help but think what if I would be happier transferring to a school in Toronto like U of T or Osgoode which is closer to friends, family and has more opportunities. I recognize the competition is high. In terms of my midterm grades, I got mostly in the A- range, and one B+. of course im unsure how this semester will go. I guess my major concern is knowing if transferring is right for me, or if it is better to just suck it up for 2 more years

Apply to transfer and see what happens. No point in fretting over a decision that doesn't actually exist yet.
