Hi, I have been trying to calculate my cGPA forever and when I ask others they say they have no idea and that only OLSAS and the law schools you apply to know it. Can someone please help me figure this out. Thank you!

It varies school to school but each school describes how they calculate cGPA. It’ll be listed on their website and it may slightly vary from OLSAS, such as the L2 schools.

For OSLAS, there’s a conversion chart you use for each individual grade depending on your undergrad institution. However, there’s a website that was created by a previous student that makes it easy. https://lawapplicants.ca/grade

Thank you! Also would this be the conversion chart you are talking about? https://www.ouac.on.ca/guide/olsas-conversion-table/

Thank you! Would this be the conversion table for OLSAS https://www.ouac.on.ca/guide/olsas-conversion-table/ (sorry I am still getting used to using this forum)

If you use the OLSAS chart and convert your grades manually, make sure you are converting individual course grades. If you have an 80 average in first year, and you just check the chart and see 80 = 3.7, you will end up with an inaccurate result.

Also, any full year classes should be counted twice when doing the math manually.
