Personal Statement Question

I was wondering if most people include (or think it is a good idea to include) reasons for wanting to attend a specific law school for one's that don't explicitly ask you to do that in their personal statement instructions (UofA for example)?

Thanks a bunch in advance for any advice 🙂

I think it's almost essential to explain why you want to attend law school in general and School X in particular. One gives the global motive for choosing a career in law, while the other specifically shows why School X is the best places to achieve your goals. If you were to just do the former, then it would leave adcoms with the lingering questions of "so what?" and "why our program?" They'd like to know that if you were offered a spot, you'd be interested in taking it.  Explaining what you like about a school also demonstrates interest and shows that you've done your research about the program, while at the same time blowing the appropriate amount of smoke up important asses.
