OCI/Recruit - Verifiers

I am a 2L student who applied to the recruit. Do the firms for the Toronto recruit require verifiers for your jobs/extra-curriculars during the recruitment process including when u get a job offer? 

This would be helpful to know so I can contact previous employers/co-workers ahead of time if I do end up with an offer or OCI.

No, private practice firms don't typically require verifier or referee checks as a condition of making an offer

I know some firms do a background check after you accept an offer, but they aren't necessarily verifying your jobs/ECs and I think it's more verifying educational background and criminal record.
