Providing additional materials in MAG interview - what is recommended?

A friend of mine had MAG articling interviews and said that the advanced questions said they could (but are not required to) include any notes or additional materials to help in answering the questions. He was advised that if he provides his notes/materials, they will be considered in the scoring of his answers. If I get MAG articling interviews next year, should I prepare materials to send to the MAG to answer their advanced question? Does it put you at an advantage or disadvantage?
