Queens Personal Statement

Queens personal statement says "Highlight your academic, personal, professional and extracurricular accomplishments, and your interest in studying law at Queen's". Is it required to touch on each of these topics, or is writing, say on two of them fine?

I thought about this myself but ultimately decided I would rather be safe than sorry and addressed them all.

I find it hard to believe that they would throw out an otherwise competitive application for not addressing all these topics

I touched upon one (maybe two) aspects of the question last year and got in fine.

I also didn't write about every one of those items, and I'm a 1L at Queen's now. So unless they're overhauling how they assess the PS, I think you're fine.

I think it's great if you have a narrative where you can tie in all of these with your story, but if you don't and it feels like you're shoehorning stuff in where it has no place in your PS.... I don't know. The PS is not only about your story, but also showing off your writing abilities. Just worth bearing in mind.

Go look in the Queen's section of the forum. There is a post with all the past threads of admitted applicants sharing their stats.

 @skooled, since you asked, here's the snapshot of my stats: cGPA 3.45/ L2B2 3.82/ LSAT 162. 

As @scooter pointed out though, I've already given this info.

In any event, I've also given some pretty detailed posts that decsirbe my academic/personal background, which give the context behind the sort of applicant I was. You can find all that if you look at my post history. Maybe my experience is comparable to your own situation, and maybe it's been factored into the law schools' decisions on whether or not to admit me. So perhaps you'll find that useful to read.

Hey! My stats were 

Cumulative GPA (cGPA)3.58

Last Two Years GPA (L2)3.60

Best Three Years GPA (B3)3.87

Law School Admissions Test (LSAT)161.
