Examples or Tips for UBC's Personal Statement?

Interested in advice as well.

I really liked UVic's application style; they ask for a personal essay (why law, why UVic) then a separate achievements bullet point list to fill in the gaps. With the shorter question format like UBC's (and many other schools), I feel like you can't really get into the good stuff... it's just a lightning round brag form.
