I was put into the "queue" three days ago... any idea if Oz will be coming back with decisions earlier than July this year?

Can't access the old forum to check how soon after going into queue means a decision, do you remember?

Hey, if you don't mind me asking, did you submit your application before the May 1st deadline? I submitted it pretty close to the deadline and haven't been placed in the queue yet.

I don't think that has any impact.

What is your 1L GPA and do you have any compassionate reason(s).

1L GPA is above 80% and yes, there are compassionate reasons.

Yes!

Well, you are the third one I know from W. I think you have an edge with your compassionate reason.

Good luck.

My advice is to not read into this too much and be patient. I was put in "queue" for 6 months (from January to June), and I still got into Osgoode.

Of course, but at this stage, anything truly is possible, and it's best for OP not to read into it too much. Just trying to communicate that Osgoode is unpredictable for both transfer and 1L applications.

Have you gone through the transfer process?

Transfer process starts from mid June and over by mid to late July.

The first batch of offers (around 20) will probably be around late Jun to early July.

I'll add that, of the people I know that transferred, they both have been very successful in the profession post-graduation. So if you do get in, know that you're treated the same as any other Osgoode student.
