Just saw that the CHIEF JUSTICE RICHARD WAGNER AWARDS nomination form opened up on Pro Bono Students Canada. Is it worth it to ask my supervisor for a nomination? Would it make me stand out during 2L recruit or jobs in general?

I don't know how common place it is to request a nomination verses your supervisor independently nominating you without prompt - supervisors get an email about nominating their students. As a bit of more general advice: A lot of students applying for the recruit have won awards of various kinds and firms definitely look for them. I originally didn't include any awards on my CV but asked about it in a resume workshop after seeing sample resumes with awards listed ( I am a mature student so its been a minute since anyway cared about anything school related on my CV). I was told to include any awards/scholarships because if you do not the assumption is you have never received one. On that note, I was also told to exclude my nomination for the JRW award - different firms may have a different opinion on including nominations but that is specific advice I received from 2 firms.
