Curious how people attending Dal this fall are planning things/moves etc.

Excited to be studying at Dalhousie this fall! I'd love to know if anyone on here will also be attending this year and what planning they are undertaking to move to Halifax (if they are not already there). For context, I'm from Calgary and flying into the Atlantic provinces is proving to be more than tricky during COVID. I'm also wondering what people's takes are on whether classes will continue to stay in-person once we are well into the school year or if people are anticipating a return to online classes.

I’m flying in from BC- feel free to message me to discuss moving logistics haha

As for COVID, I feel classes will be in-person for the year. Atlantic provinces have done relatively well so I don’t expect a drastic change in their cautious approach. Adjustments might be made depending on variants and booster shots but I would expect classes to be mostly in-person.

How is it proving tricky? Just... buy a plane ticket. I’m expecting all classes to be in person (as they should be) hopefully with no mask requirement.

Gee thanks for that helpful suggestion. Now that I think about it, I was planning to ski my way over there, but yeah, a plane ticket sounds like a really smart idea.

Not sure where you've been for the last 18 months bud, but there was this little thing known as COVID and something about a shutdown of travel into the Atlantic provinces that is slowly being lifted this year. But thanks for the helpful suggestion, I'll definitely look into it.

The province of NS opens fully on June 30 so you won't have any issues getting into the province.

You didn’t answer the question “bud” - maybe expand on what’s proving tricky about buying a plane ticket and following public health orders and you’ll get some help.
