Orientation Week Mandatory??

Hi, I am currently out in Europe until Sept 7, tickets and trip were booked and set well in advance. I received an email about orientation week .. Is it mandatory? 

In the email it says "mandatory educational sessions" during that week? Does anyone know what these "mandatory educational sessions" are?

The only things that are really mandatory in law school are your exams and assignments. 
 

Enjoy your vacation, whatever “mandatory” orientation thing your missing can be remedied when you get back, if it is really mandatory (and I don’t remember anything mandatory about orientation - I’d choose Europe over orientation any day).
