Hi! A friend si applyign to UBC next year and wants to know if the UBC reaches out to your references when reviewing your application. One of his references is abroad and he's concerned if that would make it difficult to connect with them fi needed. He has another reference eh can use, but apparently the one abroad knows him better. 

 

Anyone ahd any experience with this? And know if being able to connect with the reference later would be an issue?
