Ecstatic to be the one starting this thread.

Just got off the phone call.

3.73 / 162 - strong personal narrative 

I talked about the IPC in my personal statement and more than happy to share it with someone who is interested in applying to Lakehead.

https://www.lakeheadu.ca/programs/departments/law/admissions

To apply to Lakehead, you apply using OLSAS and they do the conversion of the cGPA for the Ontario schools to see. I don't think they use L2/B2 when looking at your grades but they'll look at your OLSAS cGPA and they'll have your transcripts as well. Lakehead is very holistic from what I know, so they focus more on what you've written in connection with their mandates.

I am so happy for you!! Also I have a bit of hope because my stats are sort of the same. I have a 3.45 CGPA and like a 3.9 l2 but I have like a 149 lsat BUT I rewrote in January and am hoping for a better score... scores come out tomorrow so we will see. Congrats again!!

Thank you 🙂 That was my cGPA as well, so definitely very similar stats! Very nervous for scores to come out tomorrow though so I'm sending good vibes your way as well haha! Fingers Crossed!!

If anyones patiently waiting to hear back from lakehead  after the Jan LSAT, I emailed them and they said they receive marks next week!!! So we should all be hearing back soon!

Got the call on Dec. 19!! So happy but will likely decline due to the location.

CGPA: 3.4 

L2: 3.8

LSAT: 154

3 years work experience as student/legal assistant during and after undergrad, strong ec’s, strong recs

Thrilled to be posting 

Received a phone call yesterday (Feb 16th) ... given an offer of acceptance

Applied as a mature student 

Medicroce undergrad GPA; have subsequently completed a BEd and MEd (first class honours in the latter) 

January 2024 LSAT 156 

Extremely (imo) strong softs

Many years experience in the field of education in BC and eastern Ontario

Then worked three years as a teacher in a northern Ontario fly-in First Nations community

Paralegal and Indigenous Social Service Worker Diplomas

Experience in both these fields as well

Lots of volunteer work in a variety of areas

Strong personal statement, good letters of recommendation

Received the call just now. I didn't even ask the admissions representative how their day was going. I was so eager to hear the news! 

Congrats everyone. Thunder Bay is so incredibly beautiful.
