Hi, 

 

If you applied under the ICC and did not hear anything by end of February, is it safe to assume that you're not accepted, since it is essential to have an interview for this category?

Hey,

From what I've read interview offers fly out around the 20th to the 23rd of February. So If after that date you haven't heard anything then It would be safe to assume you didn't get in via that category.

Hope that helps in some way.

Yep, if you don't hear about getting an interview it's safe to assume, sadly. That was my reality. The interviews were held around this time in my application year, and my empty inbox stung pretty bad. Happy to chat if you need.

But if you applied to more holistic schools like uOttawa, Osgoode, Windsor, etc, then just sit tight!

Depending on your index score you could still get put on the waitlist for the regular category. 

But you've still got another week or so before you'd find out about an interview

And when did they send the rejection, if you don't mind me asking? 

Do you mind walking me through the process of finding out the result of the application? One of the things that make the first time of applying difficult is that you don't have any idea how things are done. Do you get an email stating the outcome, or do you get an email telling you there is an update and you log in to find out? It is those little things that just seem to make the whole waiting stage even more difficult.

I know I probably won't get in based on the regular category, unfortunately. The ICC is my only way of getting in, if at all.

I haven't heard anything yet and I'm getting nervous. Could it be possible they will wait until next week when the interviews are on the 2nd and 3rd of March?

Judging from previous years, it seems unlikely. Most likely tomorrow unless they notify on weekends.

Hey, why do you say early next week? I thought they would want to give us time before the interview weekend.

I emailed admissions earlier this week and this is what I was told. Interviews are the first week of March so if you get an email on Feb 29th you still have time to prepare.

I got an interview for the Indigenous category about 3 hours ago. It said it will provide more info about the interview closer to the date,, so maybe invites are still being sent to ICC.

Thank you. To be honest though, not to be a downer, but I have a hard time believing them (not you), because it doesn't make sense especially now that the Indigenous Category got their invitation. I accepted that I'm not getting in, and will try another time.

If anyone rejects the interview offer, there is good chance they will extend offers to others. The deadline to accept is Feb 28th 9AM CST.
