Transfering license immediately after call to Bar: LSO to LSBC

I am articling in Ontario and will be called to the Bar in June. I plan to move to BC to start work. Has anyone been in this position before? Could you provide insight on the transfer process?

Some things are clear: LSBC requires a fee to consider application and one must read relevant provincial documents and attest they have done so.

Importantly: are there additional steps one has to take before the LSO will issue a Certificate of Standing (pay fees, get insured)? What does surrendering an LSO license entail? I assume it makes sense to surrender one's LSO license even if there is a remote chance you might end up with files in Ontario given the National Mobility Agreement.

This seems common practice, but I can find relatively little information about it online. Thank you.
