Just accepted and don’t know what to do!
I was just accepted to UNB this morning! EEEEK!!! I recently finished my Masters at Dal and while there, visited New Brunswick a few times. I really loved living on the East Coast. I already paid my deposit at TRU back in December. It’s my neighbouring province, and BC seems like a beautiful place to study, work, and live. I don’t know what to do now. Can someone who has attended UNB Law or knows someone who has, weigh in on what Law School is better? -

Hi, Just wondering if you hear back from the Law Society? In the initial email I received indicated that they would confirm the session no later than April 26. It's almost the end of the day and I still haven't heard anything. -

Practice Exams - Ontario Bar
I found Edmund to be a level of difficulty that was comparable (sometimes harder) than the actual bar exam. There are tons of questions too. However, the software is a bit frustrating. If memory serves correctly, the questions are not separated by subject, so it means you are practising all barrister or all solicitor subjects at once, which is tedious. You do get used to it though and I really did feel like the questions prepared me well. -

Received an offer on April 24th - L2/B2 around a 3.75cPA and a 161 LSAT. Will likely accept unless I get an A from Western. -

Practice Exams - Ontario Bar
Greetings, Ive finished law school and now it's on to the Bar exam. I was wondering - in everyone's experience, what company sells the best practice exams? I'd ideally like practice exams that are as hard or harder than what the actual exam contains, to help prepare my skill set. Many thanks! -

Would need to know your CGPA to give an estimate for Osgoode. A 168 likely wont be enough to makeup for a 3.7 B3 for UofT, -

Accepted yesterday! 163 LSAT and 81% UBC GPA after drops. Applied discretionary. Good EC's and LOR's. -

Chance me for UOFT Law and Osgoode
My B3 gpa is looking to be 3.7 at the end of this semester. If it changes anything i do come from a lifesci background and i ended up getting a c+ in fourth year which took my gpa down like 0.6 grade points. My Lsat score was 168. Im curios as to whether or not i have a shot at either of these schools. -

First Year Associate Job Market
This has been covered extensively in other threads. Unfortunately it is the most difficult time in one's career to obtain a new position -- positions are scarce and applicants are plentiful. The only answer is network, network, network. If offered, accept any reasonable position for at least one year, in order to get over the "no experience" bias.- 4

Binding Bar Exam Materials?
I had mine printed and bound in 13 groups at Net Plaza. Price was reasonable for only $154.67- + hst=$174.77-. Location is also ideal - corner of Spadina and College. Just took lite train 510 from Union Station. Very accessible. Good thing, they know what to do as they've been printing the licensing materials in the past. -
