You missed the application window for OVC (assuming you're transferring this fall), but you'll be able to apply for 3L!  Clinic apps for most clinics are due around December/January for clinics starting the following year. OVC is the exception. Apps are due in May for the clinic year starting in September. What you can do is take the prereq courses in 2L to have a more flexible 3L. The prerequisites are Business Associations and Securities Law.

ABLW is also a clinic so you would have had to apply in January 2023 to get into the course this year. You'll need to apply this winter when clinic applications are due to take the clinic in 3L.

It's a workshop insofar as you don't do real work (just make believe), unlike a clinic, but it's part of the usual clinical cycle with apps due in January and selection largely based on grades.

Consider the advanced commercial litigation workshop at Bennett Jones for 2L Winter. Anyone can take it (if you can get in off the waitlist, there may be pre-reqs or co-reqs though, so double check). BJs offers better food than Davies.

Can someone explain the curve grading a little more? I know we're divided into sections, but are we graded against people in our section or within the entire class (all 4 sections)?

To add on to what @LMP said, the curve also only applies to your section even in Legal Process I which the entire cohort takes together (all ~280 of you). Even though everyone attends the same lectures and takes the same exam, you will still be curved only against the others in your section, since they assign one Legal Process TA to each section.

The only exception is the first year seminar, which is curved against everyone in that same seminar and not everyone in your section.
