I was waitlisted Monday April 29th and just got the call that I was accepted! TRU assigned grade A-, 159 LSAT, Master's degree. Was accepted somewhere closer to home so will likely be declining. The deadline to accept is May 15th.

Congrats! I’m also on the discretionary waitlist. Did they call/email you or just a portal update?

Accepted a couple of weeks back.

January LSAT 154

TRU Assigned A+ (4:09/4.33 CGPA)

General Applicant

Quite shocked I was straight up accepted with such a poor LSAT. I suppose good references, research experience, and the fact I've been currently working in advising/recruitment at my university helped?

Just goes to show you never know until you apply! Good luck people!

I was waitlisted on April 29 and just received the offer this Wednesday, May 29!

LSAT: 148

GPA: 3.89 (last 20)

Some notes about my application that I hope can give some context:

  • Graduated in 2014 with a 2.78 GPA in Poli Sci from the UofC
  • Worked as a temp for 3 federal offices for 1.5 years
  • Found full-time employment at a Canadian tech company in 2016. Have been there ever since. Working in Operations-focused roles
  • Joined the Canadian Armed Forces as a Reservist in 2019
  • Went back to the UofC to upgrade my GPA in Fall 2021. Raised my GPA from 2.78 to 3.89.
  • Wrote the LSAT 4 times prior to this application. They took my 148 score. I wrote it again this April and got a 153.

Wishing everyone all the best!

Hey congratulations! Do you mind sharing what category you applied under? And possibly when you submitted your application. Thank you in advance and congrats again 🙂

Thank you!

I don't remember when I applied exactly but my "Date Created" on my application says Jan 31, 2024. I don't remember the category either, sorry! Unfortunately, it doesn't say on the application.

Congratulations! I have similar stats to you and am applying for the 2025 cycle. Just curious if you have any work experience/softs in your application that helped you? I'm trying to figure out if I should retake again or focus more on work experience.

Thanks!

Thank you! I do think my softs/work experience helped in my application. I worked at a shelter for Indigenous women, volunteered at a non profit and the courthouse for a couple of years, and was an exec at a social justice club. I also wrote a honours thesis about women and DV.

If you do have the chance I would say rewrite it as I honestly wasn’t expecting to get in at all and just took my chances. If you have good softs and work experience you’ll have a good shot but the chances will probably increase if you have a higher lsat score.

Whatever you decide to do good luck!

Accepted off wait list! Received the call today in the early morning. Will be accepting and attending.

LSAT: 156, 157

TRU Assigned A-

OLSAS CGPA: 3.27

CGPA at my University: 3.40/4.33

L2: 3.52

B2: 3.61

Applied access/discretionary where I could as I have been supporting both my parents since end of high school/first year of university in 2019. Have a few years volunteering then working with a firm that deals with personal injury. I also worked part time throughout my undergrad. Excellent LOR from professor and retired attorney general. This is my first cycle applying. From BC.
