Dalhousie VS TRU
Definitely stay in your home province of BC. It's a no brainer. TRU has some of the highest articling rates in the country (check their website stats), and staying in BC allows you to network with the employers in your home province. It's also cheaper to network in BC since you wouldn't have to fly back and forth from out-of-province for interviews and events. The tuition is basically the same at either school. If you're still unsure, talk to current students or alumni at each institution or even reach out to the profs and admission folk. Both schools will have courses and student clubs in the areas that interest you, but staying in province really helps with the job search and networking aspect. -

Reneging Hireback Offer Mid Summer
Keep it all on the down low until the new job is locked in, signed and sealed. It sounds like the other opportunity is an open opportunity for you and will be available in a few years too. In which case, my advice would be to hold out and do a year or two as a called lawyer at the big firm first. It’s cliche, but that name on your resume will help if you later jump again. -

Accepted May 1st off the beginning of April waitlist — without a doubt accepting as it’s my first choice! My stats/post from the Waitlist 2024 thread: cGPA 3.56/4.0; L2 ~3.9/4.0, w/ UNB drops ~3.9/4.33, 157 LSAT (first/only take). Out of province. Mid EC’s, might be considered unique. 3 years working overseas. 2 LOR’s submitted. -
