First Year Associate Job Market
This has been covered extensively in other threads. Unfortunately it is the most difficult time in one's career to obtain a new position -- positions are scarce and applicants are plentiful. The only answer is network, network, network. If offered, accept any reasonable position for at least one year, in order to get over the "no experience" bias.- 4

Binding Bar Exam Materials?
I had mine printed and bound in 13 groups at Net Plaza. Price was reasonable for only $154.67- + hst=$174.77-. Location is also ideal - corner of Spadina and College. Just took lite train 510 from Union Station. Very accessible. Good thing, they know what to do as they've been printing the licensing materials in the past. -

Got my email yesterday afternoon and accepted my offer! CGPA 4.0/4.0 (86% on the UBC scale) and LSAT 154. Applied under the discretionary category. See you all in the Fall, and good luck to those that are still waiting to hear back!- 1

First Year Associate Job Market
I've been actively applying for positions as a new called lawyer but the current market in the GTA is extremely dreadful. Every firm is looking for atleast 2-3 years of experience. Even the junior associate positions requires a year or two. Has anyone been stuck in this situation before and if so, kindly share the steps you took to land an associate position. -

Yes, you just have to put in the referee's information in the OLSAS application before the deadline. -

Accepted my offer today! CGPA 4.0/4.0 and LSAT 154. Not sure which category I was accepted under, but my guess is probably the discretionary category since my LSAT was not great. Good luck to those that are still waiting to hear back!!- 1

A today. UBC GPA with drops: 80.76%. LSAT 165. OLSAS CGPA 3.52. Mature student with 5 years experience as registered nurse. Founded and led political advocacy groups during my undergrad. Likely to accept and decline Oz. -

Binding Bar Exam Materials?
I bound each individual section separately. I had friends who printed everything and stuck them in two big binders (one for solicitor, one for barrister) with dividers for each section. I don't think there's any specific method that works better than another. Re: the indices - I bound them separately as their own thing anyway. I agree that you should just print your materials now and either bind them or put them in an actual binder. No reason to wait. -

I had virtually identical stats and got in second wave this year. I’d say you have good chances.
