Summer courses 2025
Last year, there was a chance to enroll in Legal Memo Writing, but students had to apply for a spot. Other than that, I do not believe there are law courses offered in summer. I am at uOttawa and a 2L, and I could be wrong, but when the faculty communicates about registration, I have not noticed a summer option. -

Applied to Ottawa, Windsor, Dalhousie, Calgary, and Saskatchewan. Have a strong connection to saskatchewan- brother goes there for medical school, I grew up there, and did half of my undergrad there. For softs they are average, work experience all throughout my undergrad, a law internship (shadowing), and a club that I am the vice president of, as well as my honour's thesis. Personal statement was geared towards environmental law as my undergrad is in environmental science. Please let me know my chances and when I should expect to hear back! -

Chance me for USask: 147 LSAT and 3.9/4.0 GPA
The GPA came from the OLSAS chart, and it's for my first 2 years. I submitted my application before my November LSAT came back, so we'll see what happens with that, but I was still curious about the chance. I plan to retake the LSAT in October. I have a strong connection to Usask (I lived here for 17 years, and my siblings graduated from Usask). I also volunteered with a school board for 4+ years. Thanks! -

Does getting on the Q actually mean anything? i'm a little confused about this. Doesn't it just mean they're reviewing for applications, and everyone's application gets reviewed ? -

Anyone get on the Q
If memory serves correctly, the whole queue process itself is immaterial to outcomes. Students in years past sometimes jumped the whole 'in queue' step and got an outright acceptance. I doubt anything has changed unless Osgoode has made their application review process more robust. -

Letters of Continued Interest
@Mal highlighted this, but also be careful of using U.S. tools to solve Canadian application problems. I remember reading some of the U.S. examples for personal statements and finding them sort of silly with their narrative focus. It's probably a moot point for you since you've already applied, but for the purposes of posteriority, Canadian applicants should err on the side of caution and use Canadian resources. I found that Canadian schools were more practical with their application requirements.- 1

Petr Yan with a merab profile pic, how twee. And yeah, its very early still, but I would definitely send a letter to the school once waitlisted unless they specifically tell you not to. I even know a student who got accepted when they sent a letter after getting rejected.- 1

Chance me for all ontario schools (154 LSAT, 3.84 CGPA, 3.95 B2) strong softs + Access
Access is hard to predict because it depends on the nature of your access considerations. My guess would be that the access consideration should relate to your relatively low LSAT in a direct and convincing way. Diagnosed with mild anxiety disorder: no convincing Lack of full functioning of your fingers to type: maybe (depending on what accommodations you got) *** above is a quick example off the top of my head; not meant to offend anyone Your GPA is really solid and might convince admissions of your potential despite the 154. that being said, I think most access applications explain a low GPA, not a low LSAT. (Students can't realistically repeat a year of undergrad no matter what their circumstances at that time were; you have a chance to repeat the LSAT when your performance will be at its best). If you don't make it this cycle, you can study harder for next cycle. A 160+ would seem to be very attainable considering you only studies a month so far. -
